SONEMA attends the 2018 ARABSAT forum in Marrakesh

Operator ARABSAT organised the 10^th annual edition of its Telecoms Forum from the 5^th– 6^th March 2018 in Marrakesh. This telecommunications forum provides a platform for ARABSAT’s customers and partners to discuss and share their views on the latest technological trends.

This year, the highlights of the forum were:

• A presentation of new Arabsat satellites with a particular focus on the BADR 7 satellite
• A discussion about the advent of 5G and its relationship with satellite technology
• A presentation by Arabsat’s partner companies Global Eagle, CETEL and HICAP
• The continued position of C band coverage as a highly relevant solution

Held over the past 10 years, this annual forum allows the participants and Arabsat’s partners

to better understand market developments in terms of satellite capacity, HTS applications and new connectivity solutions.
